The Battles of Lawrenceburg and Dog Walk, quite possibly the most significant Civil War battles of which no one ever heard. Pvt. A.S. Bloomfield of the 1st Ohio Light Artillery wrote home to his "respected father" that Dog Walk was a much harder fight for the number engaged than Shiloh".
Come join us for the 2nd Annual reenactment of the 1862 Battles of Lawrenceburg and Dog Walk. As part of the 1862 Kentucky Campaign, the battles of Lawrenceburg and Dog Walk helped to bring the fight at Perryville in to perspective.
We are a small, growing event. What we lack in size and numbers, we more than make up for in hospitality. We are the type of event that you will want to come back to year after year.
The reenactment of the battles of Lawrenceburg and Dog Walk is held in conjunction with the Anderson County Burgoo Festival.
